Prior to law school, Ms. Aguilar attended San Diego State University, where she graduated in 1987 with a degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Ms. Aguilar played Field Hockey in college and on the U.S.A. level as well. She also played midfielder on a National Championship Field Hockey Team in 1985.
Ms. Aguilar was recruited out of law school to work for the prominent California law firm Borton, Petrini & Conron, where she earned the respect of the senior partners and was awarded the opportunity to take three cases to trial within her first three years as an attorney. While at Borton, Ms. Aguilar represented insureds through various insurance companies for matters relating to construction injuries, wrongful death, serious personal injury, business disputes and employment law.

While at Edwards, Ms. Aguilar also continued to represent businesses with employment and wage and hour matters.
